Understanding Medi Assist TPA Claims

Media Assist TPA Claims Process

For Medi Assist TPA cashless claims:

  1. Ensure that the hospital you choose is a part of the network hospital list of your insurer or the Medi Assist TPA 
  2. Intimate Medi Assist TPA of your admission to a cashless network hospital
  3. Verify your identity at the network hospital through your insurance ID card, corporate ID and personal ID proof
  4. Fill out the pre-authorisation form so that the hospital can raise the cashless claim request to the Medi Assist TPA
  5. Upon receiving your request, Medi Assist TPA verifies all details and shares an approval for the claim
  6. If in any case the claim is rejected due to any reason you will be required to pay the entire bill at the hospital and then raise a reimbursement claim with the Medi Assist TPA after discharge (only applicable for admissible cases)

For Medi Assist TPA reimbursement claims:

  1. Inform the Medi Assist TPA within 24 hours of being admitted to the non-network hospital
  2. Click a picture of all necessary documents and upload them on the Medi Assist App or Portal
  3. Once the documents are submitted, Medi Assist TPA will view your documents and inform you if any further documents are required
  4. After sharing the soft copies of all relevant documents, ensure that you send the hard copies of all the documents within 15 days of discharge so that your claim is settled
  5. Ensure that you keep all the original documents handy including the bills, Medi Assist claim form, discharge summary, prescriptions and other hospital-related documents in case of an queries regarding your claims

Steps to view your claim status through Medi Assist TPA:

  1. Visit -  https://www.medibuddy.in/claim 
  2. Choose an option from claim ID, employee ID or Medi Assist ID
  3. Enter your full name and date of hospitalisation

Once you follow these three steps, your claims status should be displayed.
